Photo labs and photo shops from the Czech Republic and Slovakia can now accept online payments through Comgate. Your customers pay for their prints and photo products right on your ordering page, and you receive an order that is already paid.
Who is Comgate?
Comgate is a Czech payment company from Hradec Králové that has been working with online shops since 2000. It is a payment institution licensed and supervised by the Czech National Bank and a direct Visa and Mastercard acquirer. More than 20,000 merchants, mostly in Czechia and Slovakia, use its payment gateway, so many of your customers already know its payment page from other online shops.
How your customers can pay
Depending on the methods Comgate enables for your shop, customers can pay:
- by card (Visa, Mastercard),
- with Apple Pay and Google Pay,
- by online bank transfer or QR code,
- and with deferred payments or instalments.
Comgate accepts payments in Czech crowns and euros, so it works both for Czech labs pricing in CZK and Slovak labs pricing in EUR. The payment page appears in the customer’s language. Once the payment goes through, Comgate tells Foto.Guru about it and the order status changes to “Paid” automatically.
Who can use it?
Comgate signs contracts with businesses from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, so in Foto.Guru it’s available to accounts from these two countries.
How to set it up
- Sign a contract with Comgate and create a shop connection in the Comgate portal.
- In Foto.Guru, open “Payment settings”, choose “Comgate” as the “Payment operator” and copy the “Shop connection identifier” and the password from the Comgate portal.
- In the Comgate portal, paste the payment result address shown by Foto.Guru and allow all IP addresses.
Until Comgate activates your live account, you can try everything in “Test mode”. The full step-by-step guide with screenshots is in the Comgate documentation.
If you run a photo lab in the Czech Republic or Slovakia and want to get paid online for every order, start a free 30-day trial or contact us if you have any questions.
